Broncos vs Chargers -- Divisional Round

This is the third year in a row that the Broncos have been in the playoffs. It has not ended well for them. They have lost in the divisional round every time. This is their year. I am really hoping that they can get to the Super Bowl this year. They need to beat the Chargers tomorrow. If they can pull off a win vs the Chargers then they will play the Patriots in the AFC Championship next week. That will be their biggest game. For some reason the Broncos always choke against the Patriots. It was a very close game during the regular season and will be another really close game if they end up playing them. I just feel like this is their year to make it to the Super Bowl. The last time they won a Super Bowl was in 1998, it is definitely time to win another.

Just in case you missed it last year, here was my reaction when we played the Ravens last year in the divisional round.

I am hoping that this time I won't be yelling in anger and disappointment, but rather in joy and excitement, so they better win tomorrow!

Go Broncos!

Happy Anniversary

Thursday January 9th was our 5 year anniversary. We cannot believe it has been 5 years already. We have been having a blast though. Brittany has been very supportive of me in the last 5 years. She has dropped everything, packed up our house, and moved when we needed to. Early into our marriage, I had the aspirations to be a cop and that required us to move to Northern Utah for the Police Academy. We moved to Northern Utah so that I could start the Police Academy on the next open enrollment. Before enrolling into the Police Academy, I regained my job at ZAGG and had a number of promotions in the matter of a couple of months. While working for ZAGG I was reconnected with the technology industry and business which I have a great passion for. I thought about my career and decided that I wanted to pursue a career in business administration/management. Instead of enrolling into the Police Academy, I enrolled into Utah Valley University and completed a few years in the direction of Business Administration. In 2011, my brother, dad, and I decided to open up a couple of ZAGG mall kiosks and moved to Washington state. We opened up two kiosks and then a third about a year later. I had a blast running the kiosk and co-owning them. However, it came to the point where Brittany and I wanted to be back in Utah. We moved back to St. George, UT jobless with hopes to regain traction in our hometown. Within a month, I was hired at CannibalCycle as the General Manager. I manage the online sales, head the marketing efforts, manage staff, and help improve efficiency and productivity by streamlining processes within the shop and office. In 5 short years, we have moved seven times, changed jobs three times, and moved from state-to-state twice. Brittany has never doubted me and has never complained about what career path I wanted to take and that is what I love about her. Its been a great 5 years. We have two awesome kids and one on the way. We cannot wait for the future ahead of us and what it has in store for us.

I love you Brittany! Happy Anniversary! Here's to the next 35+ years!

Birthday, Holidays, Birthday, New Year, Anniversary, Busy Time Of Year

We haven't updated the blog for over a year. Here is a recap of what happened from the last time we updated the blog.

We moved to Washington state August of 2011 and lived there until May of 2013. We moved to Washington so that James and his brothers could start up two mall kiosks (ZAGG franchises). The kiosks have been up and running since Sept of 2011. They are doing really well. However, we decided that it was finally time (May 2013) to move back "home" (Utah). We are now living back in St. George. James works full time at Cannibal Cycle as the General Manager, and Brittany works part time at Great Clips as a Cosmetologist. Chloe started pre-school at The Summit and is loving every minute of it. She loves making new friends and learning new things.

This is a really busy time of year for the Hesch family. Thanksgiving was Nov 28, Madden's birthday was Dec 9, Christmas was Dec 25, Chloe's birthday was Dec 28, New Years is Jan 1, and our Anniversary is Jan 9. It is 2-3 months of being really busy. It's almost over!

Here were some highlights:

Madden's Birthday

Madden is two years old. He had a great birthday and loved all of his toys.

Christmas

The kids loved putting up the tree and getting out all of the Christmas decorations.

Chloe has warmed up to Santa over the last couple of years

Maddens year will be next year

Christmas Lights / Christmas Eve Tradition

We love the tradition of going to look at Christmas lights on Christmas Eve. There were some really cool looking houses this year.

Christmas Day

The kids loved Christmas Day. We all woke up around 6:00 AM and they got right to work, opening all of their presents.

Chloe's Birthday

Chloe is four years old. She loved the fact that she had "her day", a day that was all about her and she got all of the attention. She had such a great time at Jumping Jacks and at her "party".

We will try to keep the blog up-to-date so that we don't have to do cluttered posts like this but hope we mentioned all of the highlights and didn't miss anything.

New state, new house and new life

For those of you who didn't know, we have moved to Bremerton, WA. We moved up here because James had the opportunity to open a couple mall kiosks selling ZAGG products. We moved up here 8/13/11 and got settled into a new house. It is way different up here than Utah, first off, no AC in houses unless you own and you paid for an AC unit to be installed. Second, it is really green and there are a ton of trees, everywhere. Even though it is really different up here, we love it. We are all for trying something new and experiencing an adventure. James opens up the kiosk 9/1, he has had a lot to do in order to have everything ready by 9/1 but it's all coming together and looking good for the grand opening. We will definitely post pictures once the kiosk is set up and has all the merchandising on the kiosk.

Here are some pictures of the new place, not everything is put away so there may be some boxes in the pictures but it's getting there.

Chloe Got Her Ears Pierced

We took Chloe to get her ears pierced. It was so sad to see her screaming like that and holding her head still. We are glad that we got them pierced, though. She is so cute and now we won't have people saying "he is so cute" ha. After we got her ears pierced, we obviously spoiled her to make up for it. We took her on the carousel, the mall train, bought her new shoes and an outfit. I think she finally forgave us :). Take a look at some pictures.

She loved it

Happy after the torture ha

Chloe Tripped

We were down in St. George for the weekend and we were just hanging out at Brittany's parents house. Chloe was playing with our sister in laws feet and she was laughing uncontrollably so that is why I got the video camera out but then she got distracted, tripped and face planted it in the couch. It's pretty funny. Here's the video. Enjoy.
